Heat up Geneva with BiblioMaker!
Behind this provocative title lies a true story. But let us explain:
Our BiblioMaker cloud solution is hosted by the Swiss company Infomaniak. On January 27, Infomaniak inaugurated a new datacenter which reuses the heat generated by the servers to heat the 6,000 homes in the surrounding area.
There are many advantages to this solution:
This heat is not wasted
Energy required to cool servers is saved
This solution is expected to save around 3,600 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
